Keep the vision

Pro 29:18  Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.

The message translation say that “PEOPLE STUMBLE OVER THEMSELVES…” were there is no vision. However “PEOPLE WHO ATTEND TO THE VISION ARE MOST BLESSED!”

To stumble is to go astray, or to lose sight of the vision, this often happens when people run in their own direction, or focus on their own inabilities to do or control something.

Apostle Paul told us to walk by faith and not by sight, this is based on the fact that in the natural we lose very easily sight of our direction, for instance, darkness hamper our sight.

In John 6, from verse 16 we read that Jesus told his disciples to go to the other side, giving them direction and vision. The disciples set out to accomplish the vision Jesus gave them, but when it became dark, Jesus was not yet with them. It is in the darkness that they, the disciples, lost sight of the vision to go to the other side, as they were overcome by fear. Interestingly, the the storm that stirred up the sea, started as it became dark or as their vision became blurred.

When they however caught sight of Jesus walking on the water towards them, instead of rejoicing they became even more terrified, fear aided their inability to see in Spirit and in Truth. But when looked by faith they could see clearly, even though it was dark and in the midst of the storm. Their fear were overcome by faith when Jesus said “do not be afraid, I AM”.  As they allowed Jesus into their boat (our lives) by faith. The Bible say, “right away the boat reached the shore”.

Likewise, after receiving the direction from Jesus we need to keep looking for Jesus with expectation that He will come as we continue on the journey He set before us.  If then, by faith, we catch sight of Jesus, while on the journey, we will reach our destination.

Jesus never said the direction He gave will be without storms, we need to overcome this the storms, in order to allow Jesus to enter our boat (our lifetime journey).

Living a life, walking by faith in Jesus the Son of the One and only living God, requires that we consider Jesus Christ and His ability, even in the storm and in darkness.

Remember, Jesus said, “I AM, do not be afraid”. When Jesus said “I AM” He said that He is all that is required for us to reach the our destination.

JESUS IS OUR DESTINATION

DO NOT LOOSE SIGHT OF JESUS!!

We as followers of Jesus Christ should always considered this. Jesus is who He said He is, even if Jesus did not start the journey with you, be expect tend for Him to join you, so that you can invite Him into your heart. Do not look at the storm, look at Jesus and His ability to take you where He promised.
